You have a shot, but it's just a 'shot'.

Your SAT's are pretty bad if it's out of a 2400 scale. Maybe you should consider retaking them again, and maybe SAT IIs? Being Ranked 1st puts you in a pretty good spot.

If Georgetown has Early Decision, go for it if its your #1 Top Choice and you really want to go there. It puts you into a whole another pool.

I think you will probably get in. I don't know how you couldn't. I'm relatively sure you mean 1350/1600. You will most likely get in early action because you're a valedictorian and student council president but even if you get deferred for some reason I imagine you'll end up getting in.

Yes I believe you do have a shot, I'm not in college (I'm still a junior in high school) but I know someone that got 1700 on the SAT and they got accepted to Georgetown.

Well since it is out of 1600 you have a much better chance (but I would consider taking it again to get above 1500). You have some great EC's, leadership. . Your GPA is strong no doubt, but it does not match an SAT score...retake the SAT's and aim for a score > 2200 and you have a good chance. What SAT's 2's have you taken I know Georgetown requires 3 (if those are in mid to high 700's thats good). And hopefully those 8 AP's are scores ranging between 4-5 for most of them.

If you were recruited than they want you and your just about guaranteed acceptance. If you weren't then I would still say that your just about guaranteed acceptance.

The only thing that could block you is the ACT is low. Suggest also applying to College of the Holy Cross (outside Boston) which is comparable academically but SAT Optional.

The IB program should really help you, as it carries great weight with admissions boards. I'm sorry your test scores were bad though. It depends then, on how much the specific admissions officials you get care about test scores. Some weigh it higher than others. I tend to think though, if you apply for all of these (and a backup plan) you'll get into One of the main ones you want. Each of them have acceptance rates around 10%, which means only 1 out of ever 10 applicants gets in, so if you were only applying to one or two of them, you chances wouldn't be very good at all.

You have an outstanding record except for your GPA. Weighted
GPA's are frequently used to disguise not as good looking unweighted GPA's. That is why many colleges emphasize unweighted averages and use your transcript (or your weighted average) to determine your honors and AP classes.

Otherwise you are doing extremely well.

Use the site below to compare your profile with that of the enrolled Freshman for each school./
